Time to revisit sustainability!

With virtually no issue escaping the effects of production and consumption, come and learn the newest thinking and efforts to honestly define how we can live in a more sustainable world. Guaranteed to not only expand your understanding, this meeting will offer the chance to engage with outside-the-box thinkers and leaders who spend their lives figuring it all out. As funders, we will discuss ways to work across networks, knock down the funding silos and learn where the most strategic and impactful funding investments are (or should be). The conclusion of the gathering will leave you with tangible opportunities in hand for post-conference engagement and collaboration.

We warmly welcome the funding community to join us for the Sustainability Funders Conference on May 16 & 17, 2011 at the Airlie Center in Warrenton, Virginia, the venue where the Sustainability Funders was born more than ten years ago.

Room reservations need to be made separately for the Airlie Center. Please see the Venue tab above for more information and the link to their website. SPEAKERS, you do not need to make a room reservation directly with Airlie; conference staff will do this on your behalf.

Policies and Procedures

Registrations completed online with credit card payment are processed immediately.  Registrations completed online choosing payment by check will not be processed until payment is received.

If you are paying by check, please make checks payable to Tides Center/FWSPC and mail it to: INMEX c/o Funders Workgroup, Attn: Sherée Gibson, 225-27 108th Avenue, Queens Village, NY 11429

Submissions by mail will be processed within 10-15 business days.

Confirmation
Confirmation letters will be sent via e-mail upon receipt of full payment.Important note:  Please allow up to two weeks for confirmation of registrations paid by check.

Cancellation/Refund Policies
We know there are times when plans change and one must cancel their registration. Due to financial commitments incurred by the Sustainability Funders in order to secure the conference facility, we ask that following process to cancel registration be followed.  Cancellation fees are set to buffer the cost already incurred at the time registration is processed. Refunds will be issued according to the following schedule (Please note that we are unable to issue refunds for no-shows.):

  • Received on or before April 19, 2011, a full refund less a $50 administration fee
  • Received between April 19 and April 29, a 50% refund, less a $50 administration fee
  • Received after April 30, we are unable to refund your registration fee. (All attendance guarantees are given to the hotel on May 1.)

Note that you may transfer your registration to another person. Please notify us in writing of this change. To cancel or transfer a registration, please contact the program coordinator, Eleni Sotos (elenisotos@gmail.com), no later than April 30, 2011.

Refund requests submitted according to the cancellation policy timeline will be issued within 30 days after the meeting. 

The Funders Workgroup for Sustainable Production & Consumption Workgroup (aka The Sustainability Funders) is handling the processing of meeting registrations.  If for any reason you must cancel your meeting registration, please remember to also cancel your guest room accommodations directly through the Airlie Center.
